SKILLS

JOURNALIST

With a story-centric mindset, I’ve covered a wide array of subject matters including: vanishing fisheries, lightning in Idaho’s backcountry, ancient-building techniques, wildfire, the largest ecological restoration project in the world, climate change in the Andorran Pyrenees, one man’s quest to race a horse across the Mongolian Steppe, critically endangered species, multi-month wilderness expeditions, the intersection of natural resources and politics, the first little person to complete the Boston Marathon, airboating culture in the Everglades, and much much more. In short, I love the process of capturing compelling, non-fiction narratives because the best story is a true story.

CINEMATOGRAPHER

I’ve shot…

  • unsupported across over 5,000 miles of raw backcountry

  • on the Mongolian Steppe

  • in the streets of Haiti

  • in the dead of winter, atop the Pyrenees

  • clinging to the decks of airboats in the Everglades

  • solo and unsupported in America’s driest wilderness

  • at the helm of lobster boats in the Gulf of Maine

  • in the heart of America’s densest city

  • just about everywhere a wander can take you

EDITOR & WRITER

Once the shoot is wrapped, I switch gears to manage post-production, story produce and edit any length project. With ten years of experience, I’ve created everything from :15 second commercial spots to six-hour narrative, docu-series.

MUSIC & SOUNDSCAPE

To elicit an original musical tone and enhance the feel of visuals, I create/direct soundtracks & design soundscapes. With the ability to tailor each of these elements to edits, I’ve been able to render unique and moving audio-stories for all my pieces.
